Social and Cultural Background

I grew up in the city of Heerlen in the Netherlands at that time a very boring and depressing city. I've got 2 older sisters and my mom and dad both still life in the city of Heerlen all do there divorced for several years now.From early age my parents took us along to all kinds of cultural and social events like theater performances, museums, concerts and art exhibitions. This to stimulate our creative development and let us discover the magical world of art. My mothers side of the family is a creative and musical family with two painters, one writer and one pianist / composer.

Basta Boottocht

Exclusieve rondvaarttocht van De Pallieter tijdens Het Parcours
Basta duikt onder

Ook Basta rolt tijdens Het Parcours de rode loper uit. Maar dan onder water. Zowel op zaterdag 11 als zondag 12 september organiseert de Maastrichtse kunstgroep in samenwerking met de historische rondvaartboot Pallieter drie boottochten vanaf de binnenhaven Bassin vol met beeldende kunst, theater, muziek, mode en poezie. En niet alleen langs de waterkant, maar zeker ook in de Pallieter, de enige nog drijvende authentieke rondvaartboot van voorf de Tweede Wereldoorlog.

Van Gogh - The Bedroom

The Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam) invited the AR+RFID Lab to present during one of their Friday Night events. On Friday nights the Van Gogh Museum is open until 22.00 and there’s always something special going on. For this project a team of students from the KABK: Marieke Bijster, Joris van Dam, Martin Hoorweg, Hannah Mjolses, Matthijs Munnik, Alrik Stelling, Susanne Vruwink and Arjen Zuidgeest joined the Lab, under supervision of Wim van Eck.

I just stay in my castle in space.
In my reality, my fantasy, my grand stage.

Until the next illusion comes along.
Which might be you but then just in some other form.
